Inspired by the historical shears made by our very own ‘Master Cutler’ Thomas Wilkinson in the 1800s, the design brings together the ergonomics of a heritage product with a stylish and technologically advanced finish.

 

EXO’s are 100% surgical-grade stainless steel, with state-of-the-art investment-cast handles, and industrial grade precision ground blades. Made by our master craftsmen at our facility in Sheffield, using techniques and skills developed since 1760.

 

Using Magnetron Sputtering technology they are coated with Tungsten Carbide Carbon (WC-C) that offers industry leading hardness, abrasion resistance, and a low coefficient of friction — qualities highly valued in aerospace and automotive for wear resistance and extension of product life.

 

Featuring our signature ‘bolt’ fixing, they allow for a speedy and smooth ‘pick up’ and ‘put down’ motion – as well as adding an eye-catching styling cue.

 

Supplied in a bespoke foam-lined box with optional personalised laser engraving on the back blade, these are also the ideal gift for tailors, home crafters, makers, sewers, dressmakers and more – as well as being a great all-purpose household scissor.

 

Approved by ultra-bespoke Master Tailor Andrew Ramroop OBE of Maurice Sedwell, and are now used by the Savile Row Academy to train the master tailors of the next generation – so EXO users are in good company!
