We are delighted to share our partnership with the For the Love of Scrubs. We were initially approached in early June to explore a range of commemorative scissors dedicated to the thousands of fantastic volunteers who have been busy sewing for Britain and now make up the For the Love of Scrubs community.

 

The commemorative scissors and threadclips will be sold at a discounted price, especially for the For the Love of Scrubs community and we will also be donating 10% of the order price to For the Love of Scrubs when you buy – our small way of saying thank you for everything you have done during the COVID pandemic. All products will be packaged in our signature William Whiteley gift boxes.

For 260 years, William Whiteley & Sons have been designing and manufacturing beautifully hand-crafted industrial scissors in Sheffield, England; the birthplace of stainless steel.

 

Founded in 1760 and granted a Royal Warrant in 1840 for the scissors we manufactured for Queen Victoria in the photograph to the right. Today, Whiteley’s is still a family-run firm. Many of our craftsmen’s skills have been handed down through generations, honed to the world-renowned standard we achieve today.

Our scissors are still made by hand by our incredibly talented team of craftsmen and women in our Sheffield factory. The majority of our scissors go through an 8-stage manufacturing process where your scissors are taken from raw forgings, to hand-painted, super sharp scissors, ready to last a lifetime.

Our master craftsman, Andrew, has worked at Whiteley’s for nearly 50 years, since he was a teenage apprentice at 14 years old, and is one of the last skilled traditional scissor grinders left in the world.

Introducing our range of premium grade nurses scissors, manufactured from 420 stainless steel with riveted pocket clips for the upmost in durability and quality.

 

Our nurses scissors are available in sets of two with 5” and 6” options as well as straight and curved options and the choice of tips ensuring you get the set that’s just right for you.

 

In addition, you are able to get both pairs bespoke laser engraved for £5.00.
